Manual therapy involves specialized hands-on techniques that target areas of your body that are limited in motion and works to improve your movement and reduce your pain. Manual therapy is especially beneficial if you are experiencing spine problems, joint injuries, or other health conditions
Our Fellowship-trained Osteopractic Physical Therapists have years of specialized training to provide gentle, specific, hands-on therapies to address muscle and joint injuries. Our therapists are Fellowship trained in Orthopedic Manual Therapy, meaning they are among the most elite Physical Therapists in the United States. There are less than 10 Fellowship trained Physical Therapists in the state of Kentucky, and only approximately 1000 physical therapists are Fellowship trained in Orthopedic Manual Therapy in the United States (out of approximately 220,000 therapists in the US). This means their specialized training is the highest training a Physical Therapist can obtain in manual therapy techniques! This training includes instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, joint mobilization, spinal/ extremity manipulation, dry needling, and neuromuscular techniques to help you feel better, FASTER!
Part of the recovery process requires progressive strengthening of the weakened muscles of your injured or painful areas. This provides better support to the joints and prevents pain from recurring. Our experts have years of training in the use of progressive therapeutic exercises and are experts at improving global strength and flexibility deficiencies to correct imbalances that contribute to pain and dysfunction.
We show you how to do progressive exercises in the correct way to improve your range of motion, strength, flexibility, coordination, and stamina. In addition, we also teach you how to perform these exercises at home, so you can maintain your results.
